An Action Media project exploring the impacts of COVID-19 on young people.
Young people in the Mind the Gap project used participatory action research to find out more about the problems facing young people today and investigate possible solutions.
They produced video and digital media to explore how young people can get involved and created a social media campaign to raise awareness and engage young people in a more sustainable future.
// INTERVIEWS
We interviewed three people, working in varying areas, asking for their experiences of how the pandemic affected their work, also how young people can benefit and get involved.
CULTURE // THE ARTS
We hear from John Luther – artistic director at South Street Arts Centre – about the importance of local cultural offerings.
We hear from Nathalie Ganpatsingh – who heads up Nature Nurture – about the benefits of her project that connects people with nature on their doorstep.
In response to technology changing/adapting/influencing our lives during, and since, the pandemic, we have created some digital stories looking at areas of personal interest.
The young people each chose an area where technology has had an impact, and then found images online to back-up/illustrate their message.
